Cathy Charlene Giebel, 46, of Smethport, PA

Cathy Charlene Giebel, 46, of Smethport, PA, died Saturday (February 9, 2013) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.

She was born Aug 6, 1966 in Nassawadox, VA, a daughter of Henry and Catherine Smith Reynolds.

Charlene was employed at Truck-Lite in Coudersport, PA. She also had been employed by the Bradford Era.

She was a volunteer for American Cancer Society fund drives and was an EMT for Smethport in the past. Charlene will be remembered by her many acts of kindness toward her co-workers, (who lovingly referred to her as “Mama Bear”), her friends, and her extended family members. She enjoyed making things for people and loved her dogs, “Wrangler” and “Marley”.

Heaven received her as one of its newest angels and she has been relieved of her pain and suffering.

She is survived by:

Her boyfriend, Reid Sample of Smethport, along with his family: Jim and Georganne Sample, Cheryl Sample and children, and Brooke and Nick Wolosewicz and children

Three brothers: Bobby Reynolds and his children of Suffolk, VA; Dean (Stephanie) Reynolds and children of Pittsburgh, PA; Paul Reynolds of Rew, PA, and his son, and the family members of her predeceased husband, Ed Giebel.

Charlene was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine, and her husband Ed Giebel many years ago.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service in her honor will be held at a future date to be announced.
